Hope you’re all well. We arrived in LA yesterday evening and immediately took it in turns to bask in the LAX evening sunshine whilst the others watched the luggage, since we live in England and find the idea of seeing the sun in January – let alone the rest of the year – quite a novelty.
I’m writing this whilst elegantly ensconced upon our Beachfront Venice Roof Terrace. You may have noticed that I shoe-horned in the fact that I am currently on a beachfront Venice roof terrace, but this is not intended to show off that we’re staying in an apartment with a beachfront Venice roof terrace, and was mentioned simply because our apartment has a beachfront Venice roof terrace, so don’t be so cynical…
This was a bit of a last-minute trip for us as we were supposed to be travelling to play at MIDEM in Cannes, France, this weekend but two offers came in that we really couldn’t refuse; so we are now playing on…
Ellen DeGeneres’s birthday bash tomorrow, airing on Wednesday January 26, and on
Jay Leno next week, airing Tuesday February 1. Obviously, we’re supremely grateful to both Miss DeGeneres and Mr Leno, and can’t wait!
I think we’re going to try to squeeze in some radio shows whilst we’re here too, so will let you know as and when…
